Glenwood Springs, CO… The historic Hotel Colorado is an icon in the quaint mountain town of Glenwood Springs, in western Colorado.  In the late 1800’s, Entrepreneur Walter Devereux had a vision to create a world-class resort with a grand hotel and therapeutic natural hot springs.  The Hotel Colorado made its debut in 1893 attracting visitors from across the globe. 

For more than 112 years, Hotel Colorado has been the place of legends.  The teddy bear, Teddy Roosevelt's western White House, gangsters, and World War II U.S. Naval hospital, all have roots here.  Because of its cultural significance and commitment to preservation, the National Park Service has recognized Hotel Colorado on the list of National Register of Historic Places.

Today, the Hotel Colorado has been meticulously restored to its original grandeur.  The décor captures the Italian Renaissance era with antique furnishings, rich fabrics and ornate fixtures.  Even the staff dresses in Victorian period attire and provides impeccable service.  A wedding held in the floral-lined courtyard or the grand ballroom is truly a memorable event.

The world’s largest mineral Hot Springs Pool is only steps away, known for its health benefits.  The mighty Colorado River flows through the towering cliffs of Glenwood Canyon providing numerous recreational activities such as fishing, whitewater rafting, biking, and hiking.  Underground caves with spectacular formations are waiting to be explored at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.  World-class skiing is within and hour at Aspen and Vail.  Glenwood Springs’ own Sunlight Mountain Resort offers family-friendly snow sports only 10 miles away.
