Coffee has been an integral part of the Hotel Colorado legendary dining experience. Hotel Colorado’s own Presidential Reserve coffee captures the essence that was truly Teddy Roosevelt’s. This distinguished blend embodies the finest coffees from South America and the South Pacific. Rich in flavor with a smooth body and echo of spice, this coffee is produced exclusively for the Hotel Colorado by Arbuckle Coffee Traders.
In 1865, John Arbuckle patented a process for roasting and coating coffee beans to seal in the flavor and aroma which was packaged airtight. Bags were labeled Arbuckles’ Ariosa Coffee in bold red and yellow colors with a trademark Flying Angel and to sweeten the deal, each contained a bonus peppermint stick of candy. It soon became a staple in chuckwagons, ranch kitchens and frontier dining rooms. Now Arbuckles’ coffee comes in exotic flavors like Maple Harvest, French Vanilla, Raspberry Truffle, Chocolate Almond, Chocolate Raspberry, and Mudslide.
For a refreshing treat try a Boylan’s Bottleworks old fashioned Creamy Red Birch Beer, Root Beer, or Crème Soda - an East Coast tradition since 1891 - served to Hotel Colorado guests over 110 years ago.
