With the hottest days of summer still ahead of us, cooling off can be a challenge. Fortunately, you can chill out without breaking a sweat at Hotel Colorado, Glenwood’s most historic lodging property located in the heart of downtown across from the world-famous Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. 

Five Frozen Cocktails for Summer
For summer 2020, we’ve created a handful of new frozen cocktails that beat the heat one sip at a time—Strawberry Daquiri, Margarita, Piña Colada, White Sangria and Red Sangria—drinks that originated in tropical climates like Cuba, Mexico and Puerto Rico where locals know a thing or two about keeping cool in sweltering temperatures. 

Don’t Worry, Be Happy
Channel the laid-back vibe of the islands at Hotel Colorado’s happy hour. Every day for two hours in the afternoon, 4 to 6 p.m., enjoy discounted drinks in the courtyard. Take $2 off any frozen cocktail, well cocktail, domestic beer or glass of house wine. Although available anytime the bar is open, our new frozen cocktails are just $7 during happy hour!

Lots of Room for Cooling Off
While salty offshore breezes and sandy beaches may not be apparent, there’s an abundance of afternoon shade on one of the prettiest, most spacious outdoor spaces in Glenwood Springs with views of the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and surrounding mountains. The courtyard at Hotel Colorado also offers plenty of area to spread out safely and maintain social distancing. The manicured landscape and koi fishpond with a fountain add a unique touch that encourages relaxation. 

Faces & Spaces
Face coverings and social distancing are part of our lives for the time being. While you’re visiting Hotel Colorado, we ask that you please honor our policies which enable us to continue to serve you. We have social distancing markers at the reception area, hand sanitizing stations, paperless QR code menus, as well as plexiglass partitions to keep both guests and staff safe and healthy. While dining with us or enjoying cocktails, however, you can take face coverings off, sit back and relax.
